IMPORTANT NEWS FOR TM SECTOR SCHEMES

Lantra Awards have notified us of a proposed change to scheme rules with regard to expired Traffic Management cards and how they are renewed.   Currently expired cards (up to 18 months after the expiry date) can be renewed by attending the various original training courses.   The statement below that has been circulated confirms a planned change that reduces the current timescale to 6 months for renewal via training courses.

Make sure you review all of your card expiry dates to avoid having to be re-assessed !!!

Statement from Lantra Awards:

Re-assessment rules

You asked us what were the rules for re-assessment once a card has expired.

We can confirm that if a card has been expired for:

> More than 18 months then learners will need to be re-assessed
> Less than 18 months then re-training applies.

The Sector Schemes 12ABCD committees have agreed to bring in a new ruling on re-assessment. This will mean that if your card has been expired for:

> More than 6 months then learner will need to be re-assessed
> Less than 6 months then learner will need to be re-trained.

We will look to introduce this new rule into the industry later in the year.  We will send out a three month notification to all centres prior to changes being made.
