Formed in the mid nineties as a partnership known as TQ Exel Centres the business became a well known provider of New Roads and Streetworks Act qualifications for Operatives and Supervisors. Between 1994 and 1999 the Partners of TQ Exel expanded the range of courses and assessment programmes offered to include Winter Service Operations (then known as Winter Maintenance) and National Highways Sector Scheme training requirements for Temporary Traffic Management on High Speed Roads.

The business was incorporated in 2000 becoming TQ Exel Ltd under the control of two of the original business partners and continued to thrive, expanding it's range of services to include a variety of NVQ qualifications, Plant Operator training, Vehicle Restraint Systems and additional Sector Schemes for Temporary Traffic Management.

Current Managing Director, Sam Abbott, joined the business as a Project Manager in September 1999, was appointed as a Director in 2004 and, along with his wife Mandy took overall control of the business from December 2009.

Inheriting a fantastic team that they have worked with for some 10 years, Sam & Mandy have led the business into some new and exciting areas, notably the addition of the Construction Skills "Site Safety Plus" suite of courses. They have also added to the management team which has resulted in the adoption of some fresh ideas and the new look to the business that you see now.
